Hello! My name is Michel, the founder of Hartinox. Hartinox started its life in early 2025, but of course this was not the start of my career in metal engineering. At just 14 years old, I already spent my weekends working at the local fabrication shop in Holland. After graduating as a Precision Engineer at the Leidse Instrumentmakersschool in Leiden, Holland, I acquired a broad experience in various engineering sectors both in the shop and in the office. Still, I’ve always wanted to chase my dream and start an engineering business. After solo travelling southern Spain in a van for 8 months, I decided to settle in Alfarnatejo (Malaga), and go for it: Hartinox was born! A combination of my surname 'van Hartingsveldt' and the word 'inox', the south-European term for stainless steel.
